<h2>Nick Cave has been performing, writing and recording music for more than forty years. He is best known as the lead singer and songwriter of Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds.</h2>
 
His body of work extends across a diverse range of creative disciplines - score composition, writing of books, novels and film scripts, and more recently ceramic art. His website and weekly e-mail, The Red Hand Files, originally created for Cave to answer questions submitted by fans, has grown from a simple exercise in connectivity to a cultural phenomenon, now with over 150,000 subscribers, and hundreds of questions submitted each week.
 
Cave recently published a book of extended conversations with Irish journalist Seán O’Hagan - Faith, Hope &amp; Carnage. Created from over forty hours of intimate recordings, the book examines questions of faith, art, music, freedom, grief and love. It draws candidly on Cave’s life, from his early childhood to the present day, his loves, his work ethic and his dramatic transformation in recent years. The paperback edition will be published in September by Picador.

<h3 class="MuiTypography-root MuiTypography-body1 MuiTypography-gutterBottom css-4baxke">As of March 2023, tickets for events at Kings Theatre are sold exclusively via ATG Tickets and are available for purchase through our box office and <a href="/events/" title="Events">website</a>. If you have purchased tickets to an upcoming event via Ticketmaster, there is nothing you need to do. All tickets purchased via Ticketmaster will be transferred to ATG Tickets.</h3>
 
We strongly urge all our patrons to purchase their tickets only through these authorized outlets. We do not recommend purchasing tickets through third parties, online resellers, or other ticket sales operations.  
 
Tickets obtained from sources outside of Kings Theatre and ATG Tickets may be lost, stolen, or counterfeit and will not be honored.
 
BOX OFFICE HOURS + LOCATION 
Our Box Office is located directly next to Kings Theatre (1027 Flatbush Avenue, Brooklyn, NY) and is open Monday - Saturday 12pm - 5:30pm. On event days, the box office opens 60 minutes prior to the advertised start time and will close 30 - 60 minutes after the performance has started. Our box office accepts cash, American Express, Visa, Mastercard, and Discover for payment. 
   TICKET RESALE
To avoid issues with counterfeit, stolen, or voided tickets, guests should make all ticketing purchases through our authorized ticketing platform, ATG Tickets and <a href="/events/" title="Events">kingstheatre.com</a>. Kings Theatre will not be responsible for validating tickets that were not purchased through an authorized outlet.  
   WILL CALL
Will Call tickets are available for pick up at the Box Office starting 60 minutes prior to the advertised show time. Kings Theatre Box Office will not accept third party will call. Please note the box office closes approximately 30 minutes to 1 hour after the performance has begun. 
 
REFUND POLICY
All ticket sales are final, and event details including lineup and start time are subject to change without notice. In the event of a canceled event, all ticket holders will be refunded.

ATG SELECT
ATG Select seats are premium tickets to some of the most popular seating locations in the venue. Utilizing market-driven pricing, we ensure patrons have direct access to the best seats in the house. ATG Select seats do not include any packages, VIP, or hospitality upgrades to the ticket. Any upgrades available may be added to your order after placing ATG Select tickets into your cart, and will be noted as add-ons or upgrades.
 
ATG Select seats are not resale tickets – they are official tickets being sold for the first time on kingstheatre.com. ATG Select ticket prices are automatically adjusted in real-time taking into consideration the demand and remaining supply. This helps our patrons have access to the best seats, and enables our artists and live event performers to sell tickets at their fair market value.

ACCESSIBILITY &amp; ADA INFO

Accessible restrooms are located off the Lobby area located on the main Orchestra level.  
 
Due to the historic nature of Kings Theatre, we do not have elevators anywhere inside of the venue. To access the Mezzanine level, guests must utilize stairs. 
 
Assistive Listening Devices are available for deaf and hard-of-hearing patrons at no charge. Please see a Guest Service Usher, Supervisor or visit the Guest Services Center upon your arrival to arrange for the use of an Assistive Listening Device. 
 
Captioning Services are available for select events. When captioning is available, venue announcements and emergency announcements made on the Public Address System will be captioned. This mobile-based system allows any guest with a Smart Phone or tablet to view real-time announcements broadcasted in the venue on their phone/tablet. If you have the need for captioning services, please contact us at kingsinfo@theambassadors.com at least one week prior to the event with your request. 
 
ALCOHOL SERVING &amp; CONSUMPTION
For most events at Kings Theatre, alcoholic beverages are available for purchase to patrons ages 21 &amp; up. Guests are required to obey all state and local laws governing the purchase, possession, and consumption of alcohol. It is illegal for anyone under the age of 21 to consume alcoholic beverages. Kings Theatre reserves the right to eject anyone under the age of 21 who is observed to be in possession of, or consuming alcohol on the premises. Management reserves the right to deny entry to visibly impaired guests and may refuse the sale of alcohol to any guest. Any impaired guest causing a disturbance will be asked to leave the venue, without a refund. 
 
The sale and service of all alcoholic beverages will cease at specific times during events including approximately one-half hour prior to the end of a Concert performance and after Intermission during Theatrical and/or Family performances. Alcohol service can be discontinued at the discretion of management.  
 
Pursuant to NY State Law, we accept the following forms of identification for purchases of alcohol: Valid United States Driver's License, Passport, United States Passport Card, State Issued I.D. Card w/ Photo, Military I.D. w/ Photo, Canadian Driver’s License and Mexican Consular Card. 
 
ATM 
Kings Theatre does not have an ATM onsite; credit/debit cards are accepted at concessions. 
 
BAGS
Bags must be 18”x14”x9” or smaller to be permitted into the building. Oversized bags including hiking backpacks, suitcases, beach bags, etc. will be prohibited from entry into the Theatre. All bags will be thoroughly searched by our security team upon check in.
 
COAT CHECK
Coat check is available on a show-by-show basis. Please reference the Know Before You Go email that is sent to all ticket holders for information on coat check.
 
FOOD &amp; BEVERAGE
Beverages and light snacks (popcorn, candy, etc.) are available for purchase during events. Outside food and beverages are not permitted inside of the theatre.  
 
RESTROOMS
Restrooms are located on the basement, orchestra, and mezzanine level. ADA restrooms are located on the Orchestra level off the main lobby. Family restrooms with changing tables are located on the basement level in addition to the ADA restrooms located on the Orchestra level.  
 
SECURITY
All patrons are subject to security screening using walk-through magnetometers and handheld metal detectors, visual inspection, and bag inspection. Guests who refuse this security screening will not be allowed to enter the venue. Should any guest have a physical condition that does not allow them to walk through a magnetometer (e.g., pregnancy, pacemaker, etc.), please notify Security personnel upon arrival.

Artist merchandise is available for purchase during select events.

ANIMALS
Animals are not permitted in the Kings Theatre; however, an exception is made for leashed, harnessed, and housebroken Service Animals. If a patron requires a service animal, we encourage you to contact us as early as possible for potential seating relocation purposes. 
 
CANCELED/POSTPONED EVENTS
If an event is canceled or postponed, all ticket holders will be notified via email as soon as possible. Please visit the specific event page or contact <a href="mailto:kingsinfo@theambassadors.com">kingsinfo@theambassadors.com</a> for updated information. 
 
CAMERAS &amp; PHOTOGRAPHY
Video cameras, monopods, tripods, selfie sticks, audio recording devices, and professional cameras including telephoto or zoom lenses are not permitted inside of the venue. 
 
CHILDREN &amp; FAMILIES
For most events, children 12 months or younger may enter Kings Theatre free of charge but must share a seat with an accompanying ticketed adult. Any child that does not meet this age requirement will require a ticket to enter the Theatre and must occupy their ticketed seat only. Each parent/guardian may have only (1) child 12 months or younger to enter with them free of charge. Some shows (especially those intended for children) may have a different policy and require children 12 months and younger to have a purchased ticket. Please refer to the event calendar for more information. Kings Theatre does not provide booster seats for any performance.  
 
Guests are encouraged not to bring strollers if possible. Strollers are not permitted in the seating sections of the venue. Stroller parking may be available for select performances.  
 
Baby bags, plastic bottles, and formula are permitted into the building. Should the bag become an obstruction due to its size, guests may be asked to check the bag with our Guest Services Center. 
 
FIRST AID
Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT) personnel are available on-site to assist guests during events. 
 
GUEST CONDUCT
Kings Theatre is committed to creating a safe, comfortable and enjoyable entertainment experience for all guests and staff.

<li>Guests using offensive language or engaging in disorderly conduct may be ejected from the venue.</li>
<li>Guests will consume alcoholic beverages in a responsible manner.</li>
<li>Guests will sit only in their ticketed seats and will not occupy areas for which they do not possess a valid ticket.</li>
<li>Guests who engage in fighting, throwing objects, or attempting to enter areas not ticketed for will be immediately ejected from the venue.</li>
<li>Guests will not be permitted to smoke in the theatre at any time. The theatre enforces a no re-entry policy.</li>
<li>Guests will comply with requests from venue staff regarding COVID protocols, facility operations, and emergency response procedures.</li>
<li>Your ticket is a revocable license for the event attended and is subject to the full terms found <a href="/legal/" title="Legal">here</a>. Management reserves the right to revoke this license without refund for non-compliance Kings Theatre terms and policies.</li>
<li>Theatre staff may intervene where necessary to help ensure that the above expectations are met, and guests are encouraged to report any inappropriate behavior to the nearest security guard, or guest services staff member. Guests who do not adhere to these provisions will be subject to ejection without a refund. </li>

GENERAL ADMISSION EVENTS
For select performances, the General Admission area is located directly in front of the stage and offers standing room only, there are no seats. Due to the small size of our GA area and the location of our venue, guests are discouraged from lining up early. Doors will open at the same time for all Guests. After entering the building, all Guests with GA tickets will receive a wristband to access the General Admission pit area. Stage diving, moshing or any other unruly behavior will not be tolerated. 
 
LOST &amp; FOUND
Lost &amp; Found is in the Guest Services Center located off the lobby on the Orchestra level. During an event, guests should visit Guest Services to inquire about lost items. After an event, please contact is at <a href="mailto:kingsinfo@theambassadors.com">kingsinfo@theambassadors.com</a> with a description of the item and the date the item was lost. 
 
PRESS &amp; MEDIA REQUESTS
Members of official media outlets may request press credentials prior to events by contacting <a href="mailto:KingsMarketing@theambassadors.com">kingsmarketing@theambassadors.com</a>. Approvals are given on a case-by-case basis.  
 
RE-ENTRY
Re-entry is not permitted.  
 
SMOKING
Smoking is not permitted in the Theatre at any time. Additionally, electronic smoking devices are not permitted to be used inside the building. There is an outdoor smoking area that is available for use only after entry is complete. Please visit the main entrance for assistance locating the smoking area. 
 
STANDING POLICY
Guests are allowed to stand during a fully seated event, provided that they are only occupying the area in front of their ticketed seat. Standing in aisles and on chairs is prohibited. 
 
TRANSPORTATION &amp; PARKING
There is limited street parking available in the area surrounding Kings Theatre. The parking lot located immediately behind Kings Theatre is under construction and is no longer available for patron use. We strongly encourage patrons to take public transportation or Taxi/Uber/Lyft when visiting Kings Theatre. Visit the <a href="https://new.mta.info/">MTA</a> site for directions.

<h2>Highly influential Norwegian black metal band formed in Notodden in 1991.</h2>
 
Eventually there comes a time when the hype about a band becomes superfluous, and their status alone speaks volumes. volumes. Such is the case with Emperor, the black metal gods hailing from Telemark, Norway. Emperor has become known as one of the originators of symphonic Black Metal that Norway is internationally renowned for. Their cult album “In the Nightside Eclipse” has been ranked among albums like Slayer’s “Reign in Blood” and Venom’s “Black Metal” as a definitive masterpiece of our time.
 
Beginning life as a trio in the spring of '91 with Samoth (drums), Ihsahn (guitar/vocals) and Mortiis (bass), the band quickly recorded and circulated the now legendary "Wrath of the Tyrant" demo. It was this demo that brought them to the attention of the then still-fledgling Candlelight record label. A deal was inked, Samoth moved to guitar and Bard Faust was recruited for the now vacant drum stool. By the end of 1992, the band had recorded their half of the "Emperor / Enslaved" split CD which surfaced early the following year. Mortiis departed, and was later replaced by Tchort.
 
The press response was justifiably excellent and by the summer of '93 Emperor were recording once more, this time working on their debut full-length album "In the Nightside Eclipse". By the time of the albums release in 1994 they had become without a doubt one of the most important bands in the genre, gathering worldwide critical acclaim and a rabid fan base to match.

<h2 class="event-text">Grammy Award winning duo Rodrigo y Gabriela grew up on an eclectic mix of classic rock, heavy metal and flamenco, a rare alchemy of influences that still informs their work today.</h2>
 
Not long after the dissolution of their first band, the two musicians set off with their acoustic guitars and ended up in Ireland, where they soon ran out of money and began busking on Dublin’s Grafton Street — a turn of events that led to their crossing paths with Irish singer/songwriter Damien Rice, who then asked them to open for him at an early headline show. As they developed their distinct breed of guitar music, Rodrigo y Gabriela quickly gained recognition for their extraordinary live show and made their full-length debut with 2002’s re-Foc.
 
Along with turning out 8 additional acclaimed and kaleidoscopic albums over the years: including Area 52 (a 2012 effort made with a Cuban orchestra), 9 Dead Alive (a 2014 release that spotlighted their more rock-leaning sensibilities) and the 2020 Grammy winning Best Contemporary Instrumental Album, Mettavolution, the duo has cemented their status as a globally renowned live act. Among their many successes: performing at The White House for the President and First Lady of Mexico at a 2010 event hosted by Barack Obama; headlining the Jazz World stage at Glastonbury; selling out major venues like the Hollywood Bowl, Red Rocks Amphitheatre, London’s Royal Albert Hall, Radio City Music Hall, and the Sydney Opera House; and performing to massive crowds in such far-flung cities as Tokyo and Paris. 2023 sees the release of their most ambitious project yet, the Advaita Vedanta inspired In Between Thoughts...A New World, which features their signature dual guitar attack augmented by a full orchestra, and a corresponding world tour.

The group earned the admiration of critics and fans alike, and their legacy as one of the most influential Americana bands of the 21st century is more than secure. Led by the enigmatic Ryan Adams, the band has been hailed as one of the most innovative and dynamic acts to emerge from the Americana scene. 
Born in Jacksonville, North Carolina, Adams was drawn to music, picking up the guitar at age 12 and teaching himself to play by listening to classic rock and blues albums. His early influences included Bob Dylan, Led Zeppelin, and Neil Young. At age 16, Adams formed his first band, The Patty Duke Syndrome, which played small clubs and bars in the Jacksonville area. After graduating from high school, Adams moved to Nashville and began to pursue a career in music. He quickly gained a reputation as a talented songwriter, and soon signed a recording contract with Lost Highway Records. 
In 2004, Adams formed the infamous Ryan Adams &amp; The Cardinals with lead guitarist Neal Casal, bassist Chris Feinstein, and drummer Brad Pemberton. The band quickly made a name for themselves, releasing their critically acclaimed debut album, Cold Roses, in 2005. The album featured a mix of folk, country, and rock, and was praised for its raw, stripped-down sound. The collective released a steady stream of albums, including Jacksonville City Nights (2005), Easy Tiger (2007), and Cardinology (2008). Each album showcased the band’s unique blend of Americana, folk, and rock, while Adams’ songwriting continued to evolve and mature. 
In 2010, Ryan Adams &amp; The Cardinals disbanded, and Adams returned to his solo career. Since then, he has released a steady stream of solo albums, including no less than 5 studio albums in 2022 alone. 
But the love of The Cardinals has remained - often praised for their unique blend of Americana, folk, and rock. While the band’s live performances have been remembered by nostalgic fans for their energy and intensity.
